Staff

Astroworld is run by a small team. Staff never sell items, never give cash, and never ask for your password.

Roles

  • Owner - final word on everything.
  • Admin - server config and oversight.
  • Moderator - in-game reports and enforcement.
  • Helper - answers questions in chat and Discord.

Contacting Staff

  • /report <player> <reason> - submit an in-game report (forwarded to staff with the astroworld.report.staff permission).
  • Discord ticket channels.

Recognising Staff

Real staff are identifiable in-game by coloured chat prefixes that match their role. The golden rule is that legitimate staff status is always visible in the server, never just in a private message. Anyone DMing you on Discord or in-game claiming to be staff without a matching in-game prefix is impersonating - report them immediately and never act on instructions from an unverified "staff" account.

How Staff Will Never Contact You

Knowing what staff won't do is the best scam defence. Staff will never ask for your account password, never ask you to /pay them money or items, never sell you in-game advantages, and never DM you a link asking you to "verify" your account elsewhere. Every legitimate staff action happens through official channels - in-game commands and the Discord ticket system. If a message breaks any of those rules, it is a scam regardless of what name or prefix it claims.

What to Report and How

Use /report <player> <reason> to flag rule-breaking - cheating, griefing claimed land, scamming, harassment, or staff impersonation. Reports are forwarded to online staff holding the astroworld.report.staff permission, so the more detail you give (what happened, where, and when), the faster it can be actioned. For issues that need a conversation or evidence like screenshots, open a Discord ticket instead, where staff can follow up properly.

The Chain of Responsibility

The role list above is also an escalation path. Helpers and Moderators handle day-to-day chat and in-game reports; Admins manage server configuration and oversight; the Owner has the final word. If you feel a report was mishandled, a Discord ticket lets you escalate it up that chain calmly and with evidence - that is far more effective than arguing in public chat.

Joining the Team

Applications open periodically rather than year-round, so the team can onboard new staff in manageable groups. Watch the Discord announcements channel for application windows, and in the meantime the best way to stand out is simply to be a consistent, helpful, rule-respecting member of the community - the qualities staff look for are visible long before an application opens.

Common questions about staff

How do I know if someone is really staff?

Real staff have coloured chat prefixes that match their role, visible in-game. Anyone DMing you claiming to be staff without a matching in-game prefix is impersonating - report them immediately and never act on their instructions.

Will staff ever ask for my password or money?

Never. Staff will never ask for your password, never ask you to /pay them money or items, never sell in-game advantages, and never DM you a link to 'verify' your account. Any message breaking those rules is a scam regardless of the name attached.

How do I report a player or contact staff?

Use /report <player> <reason> in-game, which forwards to online staff with the report permission - include what happened, where, and when. For issues needing evidence or a conversation, open a Discord ticket instead.
