Eclipse
What Eclipse does
A chance of causing blindness when attacking.
It triggers on attack and can be applied to all swords. The enchant goes up to level 3, and each level changes the numbers rather than the behaviour, so the table below is the whole picture. You may see it written as Blind in older guides; in game it reads Eclipse.
Effects per level
| Level | Chance | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 17% | potion BLINDNESS:0:60 on the victim |
| 2 | 25% | potion BLINDNESS:1:80 on the victim |
| 3 | 33% | potion BLINDNESS:2:100 on the victim |
When it fires
Eclipse only checks when you land a melee hit on a player. Outside that moment the enchant is inert, so it is worth matching it to how you actually play.
Other Legendary enchants that fire on the same trigger: Berserker, Cosmic Pull, Skull Crack, Soul Reap. Stacking several of these on one item means more rolls in the same moment rather than coverage of new situations.

How to Obtain
Rare Crate, mid-tier pouches, and the vote bonus roll (3% chance per claimed vote).
See the How to Get Enchants page for all enchant sources and the recommended apply workflow.
Applying Enchants
Use /ae in-game to access the enchant menu. Higher-tier books have lower default apply success rates. Pair the book with Magic Dust to increase the success rate, and apply a White Scroll to the target item first to protect it from breaking on a failed apply.
About the Legendary Tier
The Legendary tier (AE group: ELITE) contains 41 enchants in total. For a full breakdown of all tiers, see the Enchant Tiers page.
