Headhunter
What Headhunter does
Chance to have opponents head drop on death.
It triggers on kill player and can be applied to all swords and all axes. The enchant goes up to level 3, and each level changes the numbers rather than the behaviour, so the table below is the whole picture. You may see it written as Decapitation in older guides; in game it reads Headhunter.
Effects per level
| Level | Chance | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5% | drop head on the victim |
| 2 | 10% | drop head on the victim |
| 3 | 15% | drop head on the victim |
When it fires
Headhunter only checks when you kill a player. Outside that moment the enchant is inert, so it is worth matching it to how you actually play.

Common and Vote crates, and the vote bonus roll (50% chance per claimed vote).
See the How to Get Enchants page for all enchant sources and the recommended apply workflow.
Applying Enchants
Use /ae in-game to access the enchant menu. Higher-tier books have lower default apply success rates. Pair the book with Magic Dust to increase the success rate, and apply a White Scroll to the target item first to protect it from breaking on a failed apply.
About the Common Tier
The Common tier (AE group: SIMPLE) contains 12 enchants in total. For a full breakdown of all tiers, see the Enchant Tiers page.
