What Cosmic Lifesteal does

A chance to steal health when attacking.

It triggers on attack;attack mob and can be applied to all swords. The enchant goes up to level 5, and each level changes the numbers rather than the behaviour, so the table below is the whole picture. You may see it written as Lifesteal in older guides; in game it reads Cosmic Lifesteal.

When it fires

Cosmic Lifesteal gets a chance to fire in more than one situation, which makes it far less situational than a single-trigger enchant:

When you land a melee hit on a player.
When you land a melee hit on a mob.

Other Cosmic enchants that fire on the same trigger: Blacksmith, Cosmic Axe, Doublestrike, Strife, Tidal Strike. Stacking several of these on one item means more rolls in the same moment rather than coverage of new situations.

How to Obtain

Legendary Crate, high-tier pouches, and the vote bonus roll (0.1% chance per claimed vote).

Applying Enchants

Use /ae in-game to access the enchant menu. Higher-tier books have lower default apply success rates. Pair the book with Magic Dust to increase the success rate, and apply a White Scroll to the target item first to protect it from breaking on a failed apply.
